Wijnand (1988) is a self-taught mixed-media artist who works with acrylics, spray paint, and street posters. His art moves between street and pop — colorful, raw, and full of energy.

Portraits are at the heart of Wijnand’s work — faces from around the world, each with its own story.
His paintings are inspired by his travels, the mix of cultures he encounters, and the cities he explores. He uses strong lines and vibrant colors to capture what he sees and feels.
Urban elements often find their way into his work — silhouettes, reflections, graffiti, and light come together to show the raw beauty of city life.

Alongside his fascination with people and culture, Wijnand draws inspiration from the nostalgia of classic cartoons. A nod to the “good old days” of playful imagination. Imperfection is part of his language: paint drips, rough edges, and spontaneous marks reveal the honesty behind the image.

His art is a tribute to the beauty of our world and the timeless spirit of childhood that lives in us all.

“Art doesn’t have to be clean. It breathes, cracks, and spills — that’s what makes it real.”
