Wijnand (1988) is a self-taught artist working in wood, layers, and movement. His pieces start as flat panels of MDF and grow into something sculptural, raised layers, textured surfaces, and paint that's left free to drip, pool, and crack as it dries.

Nothing is smoothed over. The wood grain stays visible where it wants to, the drips fall where gravity takes them, and every layer is built by hand, no two pieces ever turn out the same.

Colour, contrast, and depth drive the work. Some pieces lean bold and graphic, others quieter and more textural, but all of them share the same idea: art should feel physical, not flat. Something you want to touch as much as look at.
